Art of the Soundtrack. How to put images to sound and vice versa.
„My talk is about something I often do: compiling music for film. As my films and work involve African themes or stories, I often turn to black African and black American music (or beats) to capture or deepen the cinematic tone. My contribution to the Spaces Between Us, which includes a digression into the genius of the Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu, provides a small selection of the black sounds I find for film images.“ (Charles Mudede)
